I am a driven, creative and organized producer, communicator and storyteller with hands on experience working for Division I athletic departments, commercial businesses, non-profits and freelancing. I am always looking to share stories and produce a memorable and great product.

Work Experience

 

Compass Casting- Casting and Communications Assistant 

Dec. 2017 - present

Cast commercials, feature films and digital ads for agencies, corporations and non-profits. Build and maintain schedules for projects that can exceed over 200 auditions in a day. Create and finalize booking sheets and cast lists to send to directors and producers. Obtain talent information and work with talent agencies around the Chicago area. Create demo reels for actors to submit for agency representation. Organize and upload video to Casting Networks for audition sessions and classes. 
 
DePaul University Athletic Department- Graduate Assistant in Communications 

Aug. 2015 - June 2017

Managed the communications duties for the men's and women's tennis teams, softball and coordinated the video and social media efforts for the entire athletic department. Office hours consisted of writing, shooting and editing video projects, updating and sending out stats, writing releases and recaps, coordinating interviews, creating game programs and inputting information with StatCrew. Game days consisted of setting up video equipment, managing student workers, utilizing social media for the teams, filming post-game press conferences, conducting interviews and putting together highlight and press conference videos.

O'Connor Casting Company- Casting Intern

Worked auction rooms checking in actors and actresses. Researched and contributed to the selection process by bringing in specific talent to audition for roles. Communicated with various agencies to schedule and ensure their clients arrived for their auditions. 

 
Marquette University Athletic Department- Student Assistant in Communications

Oct. 2011 - May 2015

Handled communications duties for Marquette University Athletics Division I varsity sports by writing press releases and game recaps. Updated player and team information, created roster cards, live tweeted men's and women's basketball games, live-streamed and called women's volleyball matches, created credentials and assisted with the media on game days. Member of the host staff for rounds two and three of the 2014 NCAA March Madness Tournament at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

 

WTMJ-TODAY's TMJ4- The Morning Blend and News Intern

The Morning Blend- Managed and assisted all guests that appeared on the show.  Wrote scripts, stories, uploaded video, took pictures and assisted crew members during the live show and taped segements. Helped facilitate the annual Christmas "live audience" show at Southridge Mall. 

 

News Intern- Assisted reporters, photojournalists, anchors, producers and assignment editors in all aspects of the evening news shows by logging interviews, writing stories, researching and pitching ideas. Helped produce an I-Team investigation piece on local schools not following fire drill safety laws.

Created VO's, SOT's and contributed to stories for the evening news casts. Went out on the field with reporters covering the Southern Wisconsin area. Shot, wrote and edited independent packages using Sony EX1s.

Handled the newly established Madison branch's Twitter account, doubling its following in just over two months. Compiled a media list and master event calendar internally for employees to share efficiently. Devised and executed a social media plan for the Baraboo School District. Branded the new Madison office location in order to fit the identity, mission and values of the company. 

 

Project Girl, Inc. -  Social Media Intern

Created a feature called, "Zilly of the Week" based off the book, Zilly a Modern Day Fable. The book focuses on a girl who is strong and independent, which align with the Project Girl, Inc. mission. Updated social media platforms and set up rotations of artwork and quotes on the homepage.
